During the past year, the Belgian duo has been busy in the studio. Their latest album Dark Wobble shows that they’ve put in a lot of time in the studio. Their discography is one of the most extensive in bass music. They’ve collaborated with the likes of Caspa, Zeds Dead, Dirt Monkey, Boogie T, and many others.
The group has been around for nearly a decade, and their sound is a mixture of hip-hop and bass. The duo’s early influences come from early UK bass and reggae, and their unique style is known for its pulsating, wobbly sound. They founded their own label, SubCarbon, in 2009, to release their own music, and later branched out to work with other artists.
The duo has released 8 studio albums, the most recent being “The One.” The album features a new character named Mr. Wobble, who is a superhero who uses bass energy to make things big. In 2016, they also unveiled two animated short films based on their music, titled “Wobble Master” and “LFO Requiem.” The duo draws comparisons to Gorrilaz, a Belgian hip-hop band. They plan to continue exploring the universe of Mr. Wobble in the coming years.
While it’s difficult to pinpoint a single defining moment in the group’s history, they’re constantly evolving. Their collaboration with GRiZ has given them an added dimension to their sound. They recently released a new song, “Trinity,” as a single. Ganja White Night’s next album is due in April.
